I have been playing various musical instruments for 18 years, specifically, Violin, Cornet/Trumpet, Tenor/French Horn and Piano. During which time I achievied Grade 8 on the Cornet/Trumpet. In 2000, I accepted a position with the Flowers Brass Band based in Gloucester, one of the top 10 Brass Bands in the UK. Work with the band included performing at all major contests including the British Open, National Championships, All England Masters and the French Open. As well as performing on stage, the band recorded numerous CDs and appeared on BBC radio 2 regularly.
Whilst with the band, I was invited to become a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, first on Cornet and later on Tenor Horn. Work with the NYBBGB included performing over the UK, including performing at the European Brass Band Championships, as well as featuring at the BBC Proms Concert alongside the National Youth Orchestra and National Youth Jazz Orchestra, held annually at the Royal Albert Hall, London. I have been teaching brass, piano and music theory for 8 years. I currently teach over 20 pupils either from home or at their house. My pupils ages range from 7 years to 70 years old. All of my former pupils have obtained a 100% pass rate in both Associated Board and Trinity Guildhall examination boards. As well as teaching I compose and arrange music many for brass quintet and brass bands. I currently teach for Warwickshire Music Service and Cokethorpe School in Oxfordshire and Rye St Anthony School, Oxford. Lesson Rates (Subject to Location) Area Covered
